The final was very long, cramming too many details in it. Jargon-filled language without a clear and concise solution. "Mr CEO" might have lost interest
Can you name the software you are using for presentation?
I think there was a mistake in case 1. 0.25 should be multiplied by zero during the calculation
Shouldn't mini case question 2 be 65%, not 55%? Since it says, the chance of finding treasure on at LEAST one island? So both islands would be ok as well?
one of the best case interview videos i have seen so far. eypecially because of the feedback session. i have learned a lot, thank you very much sir
I still don't get why the snake will die from overconsumption by the tiger.
Hi, where is the link to the updated resume in your description?
I think there was a mistake in case 4. I think it asks you to calculate the average growth seen in the last 4 periods, add 5 percentage points and use this number to calculate how much gold coins are expected for the current year. This would make necessary to use all the avg gold coins from the previous years and the 5 percentage points, right?
Actually not, for this you would require data points of "Y-5" and "Y-1" , to calculate CAGR ; then adding 5 p.p.
Okay okay. I am watching the How to Open video now;))
These sound pretty helpful to me :))

I just got finished MGS, I was really surprised that after Red Rock study, the brand new question came up..
Answers to the first question after all initiatives were successful for Facebook, YT, Google resp. : 40, 30, 28. Correct me if I a wrong.
Is the webcam required to do this test?
Great and valuable content! Thank you.
This was great! got an interview call thanks to watching this and paying the website for the simulation that was very similar! goodluck to all
At 12:53, why are not taking the denominator as 30 for Peasant Fortune since the total number of captures will also be increasing for the current year?
No Since the chances of capture are increasing by 15% and 5% not the number of ships captured. So we need to calculate the new chance of capture of red and black flags. Previously the chance was 9/24 and 6/24. The new chance would be (9*1.15)/24 and (6*1.05)/24. We use this new chance to calculate the number of ships captured in the coming year. Again its the chances not the number of ships
Is it possible to copy and paste text in the REAL Redrock test? Can you select and copy text from the questions and paste it elsewhere, or is the screen locked down to prevent copying? someone knows?
i disagree with multiplying the 10 flights/ day by 2 for the return, since already the 10 was caluclated taking into consideration a cycle of 15 mins from the airport to the station and then another 15 mins back ( loading passengers as well) plus 1 hour charging, giving us a cycle of 1.5 hr ( 2 trips) which makes 10 trips / day.
Hi, I have passed the game and I'm very grateful for your video. I would like to point out that some of the terminology in the game is quite challenging; however, you don't need to know them, so try to simply identify what the question wants and move on.
hey congrats. i have deadline in two days. please share your experience. what games did you have to solve? what location did you apply to? how did you do the redrock game, without excel or with and how did you select the questions and research journal?
Hi, may I ask you , how did you know that you passed successfully or no . Cuz I also got the game but I didn’t see anything that could let me know wether I passed it or no

Thanks for the great explanation! It's incredibly helpful for me as I prepare for my first career test. I'm realizing I might be a bit late to the game, haha. The simulation is at 279 now.
hey how did it go? I am preparing too but not sure what to study for redrock
@@srutib Hi! did u had the test? can you share what did you have in REDROCK? any questions from there?
at 17:12 to 17:26 i have not understood can someone please expalin this
So what is in the solve test? Ecosystem like your web and this ?
Hey! At 12.53 you calculate percentage of ships captured by both flags using the original attempt numbers. However, it says that the red flags are used only after the black flags, so shouldn't the chance of successful capture by red flag be out of the remaining ships 6/15*1.05 and not 6/24*1.05? and similar for the other ship as well.
also on case question one with weighted averages, shouldn't it be 0.25*0 for the first bit, not just 0.25+ ?
This is just a guide bruh
Nice video. So on average, how much time does a real business case with a real client takes to be done/finalized from start to finish?? i know it depends on how big the business case is ... but on average ... say in the last 3 years you worked on 15 business cases "more or less" how much time did it take you to be done with the use case from the moment you entered the client's office to were you shook hands and left
Is Chicago supposed to be that low? I am getting $13,920,000 annually. $2.5million seems too low?
I actually got a different conclusion, and I got the impression that Eduline is actually in UK since its on poundsterling. So there shouldn’t be issue on trajectory of US vs UK. My conclusion is as follows: Based on our analysis on the plan of Russell University acquiring Eduline, and the known information on the current market size of Eduline, along with its growth potential at 20-100%. Assuming that subs cost over 3 years period remains the same. And taking into account the upfront cost of integration and running cost of Eduline, I would recommend for Russell to acquire Eduline with a max investment value of £138,569000 (assuming min. Growth of 20%). This will nett us a BEP of 3 Years. On top of that, I would advise to take into account additional risk such as inflation, Growth potential, and cannibalisation to refine this analysis. I would also suggest a more conservative approach of partnering with Eduline for the first year, if Russell would also like to be more conservative on its approach to Eduline.
Still not sure as to why you selected tree map? Why not stacked bar chart (100%)? Thanks
How did u get 54-51?
What do you mean take away 0's?
Ian here - you should not expect a given person to get back to you. But if you network properly (lots of messages sent to the right people in the right way), you should 100% expect to have dozens of networking calls!
What do you mean by network? Should i expect those people to get back to me?
need to watch thousand times to remember just some
I didn't know half off the charts here :))
One very popular chart for multi-series percentage at McKinsey is the Stacked-Percentage chart. But I guess 100 charts are way too many already;)
Hello, first I would like to thank you for your insightful explanation, I have one question regarding the second case question, the question is asking about the chances of finding treasure on at least one of the islands, why did we subtract the chance of having treasures on the same time😅
Is the webcam required to do this test?
you are the fucking best
Thank you very much for the video! I have watched it three times. I was wondering, though, if the set up is fully right. Two things stood out to me: the final number is quite high and we can easily have a number above 20 mln, if we assume a higher number of pieces of clothing. On the first point, the result shows every second person at least would wear something red. Let us walk out and spend an hour. Do you think we would see at least every tenth wearing red? On the second point, if we increase the number of pieces of clothing (which is probably somewhat higher in real life) we can easily have a number above 20 mln. E.g. 5 (at home), 9 (going out once) and 18 (going out twice).
I think it could be broken into: 1. background 1.1 skills 1.1.1 hard 1.1.2 soft 1.2 experience 1.2.1 school 1.2.2 work 2. test 3. interview
they're not parallel quite, but i can think of also before BSG and during BSG process. in before it's going to be skills and experience, in after - test and interview
could you explain case 4? you only dragged the numbers to the journal 😅?
Yes, Case 4 only requires you to drag numbers to the journal (no calculation necessary). This is the explanation from the script: Now, to answer this particular question we just need to collect the number of ships captured for year Y-1. No need to collect the data for the remaining years. This is because: 1. The question asks for just the additional revenue from the tactical changes alone, not all of the expected growth. 2. This additional revenue is expressed as being “5 percentage points” added on top of the "expected growth without the tactical changes", so 5 percent of the revenue in Year Y-1, not 5 percent of the growth. Which means we just need that year’s revenue [and the 5 percentage points] to figure out how much these tactical changes are worth in thousand gold coins. Hope it clarifies things up for you!
Thank you very much ! But why drag the number of ships captured if only revenue matters?@@MConsultingPrep
@@lightair2508 You need the number of ships because the revenue on the table is "per ship". ^^
@@MConsultingPrep but then you are assuming that the avg rev. per ship remains at 2.6 right? why not taking the average of the past 4 years for instance?
@@smoothpghey, I was also confused regarding this. After spending some time on this question, I understood the phrasing of this question is aimed at deceiving the interviewee. If you were asked for the revenue growth, then yes, you'd have to find the average of the past 4 year's growth and proceed from there. Let's assume that to be 'X'. However, they've only asked about the coins from the tactical change and that has been denoted by percentage points and not percentage. Hence, the value would be (revenue in year Y-1) * 5/100. However if they would have asked for the total revenue in year Y, that would have been (revenue in year Y-1) * (5+X)/100. Hope this helps!
This video is exactly what I needed for my upcoming interviews. Thanks for uploading it!
